I trust you all have had some sort of a respite from your busy work life over this past month...
The association has been quiet over the last few months after we wrapped up the year with the LTMIC conference in Potchefstroom. But fear not, we have some great meetings planned for this upcoming year. The first one will likely be mid-late February. As soon as we have the schedule nailed down with all our speakers, we will post schedule here on the blog. Just a few talks to look forward to:
- Brendan Dower ans his latest techniques and outcomes in the operating room
- Benita de Witt and Gabi Dekenah giving us insight into the Lyno Method
- CPR refresher courses
- AND Your compulsory Ethics points all wrapped up into one meeting
Also, we had a few resignations on the BASA-Western Cape committee late last year. We sadly accepted the resignations of Neil Hopkins (Ethics committee and Communications Head of committee) as well as Elsabe Kriel (Admin/CPD certificates). Neil will remain as a lecturer for BASA-Western Cape in Ethics during this year, but not as part of the Ethics commitee. These valuable Biokineticists have decided to withdraw their positions for personal reasons. The association will miss their contribution on the committee but wish them success in any future endeavors.
David Fabricius (Head of Education commitee) will take over communications in the interim and I will take over the admin/CPD certificates until the next AGM. Ethics will be handled as a collaboratively as a committee.
Thanks everyone and Cheers for the New Year!
Sincerely,
Erin Rae
Chairman
BASA-Western Cape
