We are trying to get Bios in involved in WPBA, and to make it the chapter of BASA that you want it to be. We have developed the committees and identified who we need to make each portfolio work. But it is up to the members of WPBA to ensure that it works so please get involved.
Prerequisites:
1.) You must be a BASA member.
2.) You must be present at the AGM.
3.) You may stand for more than one portofolio.
4.) A few portfolios have sub-committees in which people can help out and be involved without having the added responsibility of being in charge of a sub-committee.
5.) Voting will be done anonymously by ballot.
Here are each of the committee portfoilio's along with a brief job description:
Chairman: x 1
Oversee all the committees and their activities and progress.
Be the voice/communication between the members of WPBA and BASA, to members and to BASA.
Run meetings.
Help develop the Educational activites (CPD).
Admin.
Vice Chairman: x 1
Second hand to the Chairman in overseeing committees, activities and progress.
Admin.
Accountant/Treasurer: x 1
Handles the money that comes in through WPBA.
Compiling the financial report for BASA and year end.
Bank Account.
CPD: x 1
The middle man between members applying for CPD accreditation for courses/talks etc and the Accreditor (BASA).
Communication with members about what documents needed, compiling them and sending them off.
Admin: x 1
Creating and sending off CPD certificates.
Communication with education portfolio.
Codes/Tarriffs: x 1 (Sub committee: x 1)
Knowledge of codes and tarriffs.
Communication of codes and tarriffs (changes etc).
Process/Protocols with medical aids.
Ethics: x 1
Knowledge of Ethical rules.
Intermediary between members and BASA/HPCSA.
Communication with education and communication portfolio.

Marketing.
Messaging.
Information to the members through blog and FB.
Communication with ethics portfolio.
